When you’re part of a school, fall is a time of beginnings. New teachers, new students, new programs. A class added, a lesson time changed, a baby enrolled. (A recommitment to practicing…? Maybe!)
Musical Beginnings has been around a long time and we’ve discovered lots of nice ways to do things over the years. Still, it’s good to change things up once in a while so we don’t get stale. So this fall we’ve extended the young child class program that has always been at our core to include group classes for all ages. Because learning with others is fun! We now have group piano, guitar, and voice for ages 8-12, as well as teen and adult rock ensembles. We’ve also added a new Family Music class in the late afternoon which has proven popular with working parents. And we’re trying something new with winter recitals by spreading them out over four days, December through February.
