I love this time of year, when new classes fill with the babies and toddlers I’ll get to watch grow over the next few months. And they grow in so many ways! Physically, verbally, cognitively…it’s crazy how fast things come online in the first couple of years. What intrigues me most, unsurprisingly, is little people’s musical growth. It starts with infants raising their eyebrows or widening their eyes when a phrase or interesting sound captures their attention. Older babies start to anticipate repetitive patterns and move their bodies in response. Toddlers dance and stop along with favorite songs, and shake bells with gusto when a new piece excites them. And everyone loves to drum! I hope you can come join us in our musical adventures.
